Description
Ready for the parade. Taken outside the former Council Offices in Hebden Bridge. The large dooway was the Fire Station. The top of the banner reads ‘Cross Lanes’ which was the United Methodist Chapel at the top of the Buttress and in the middle is ‘Band of Hope’. Standing at the rear of the coach is Alice Greenwood; next to her (in cap and glasses) is Arnold Crabtree; the girl in the large hat is Annie Greenwood and behind the gentleman in the flat cap are Mr and Mrs J.H.Beswick with their son, Jack. The man with the bald head, right, back, is Harry Walmsley and just to the right, in front, is Edgar Marshall. Behind him, leaning on a bicycle, is Mrs J. Midgley. Third right is Edwin Greenwood and, first right, Gladys Blackburn. MM5
