Slide 23 – In the room at the top of the House, now used as a schoolroom or day nursery, is a fine mantle piece, the upper part having various coat of arms and emblematic figures carved into it. This room is wainscoted with oak, but unfortunately it has been painted over at some period, completely destroying the character of the wood.
