Ellis Schofield Senior started a Rag and Bone business at Black Rock, Cornholme. When he died his son, Ellis Schofield Junior took over the business and ran it here at Canal Wharf, Todmorden. Ellis Junior served in Burma during WW2 and later became Mayor of Todmorden.To the right is the side of Golden Lion Pub. Was there a barber’s shop on the side of the pub?
