Quote from the Hebden Bridge Times August 22nd 2003 ‘Angie Barrs was walking down Sandy Gate in Hebden Bridge recently when the driver of a skip lorry leaned out of his cab and yelled “D’ya know any of these people?” Hardly waiting for an answer, he drove off leaving her holding a framed group photograph whose only clue is the cabbage looking plant in the foreground. Just before he vroomed away, the driver said he had been clearing out “the Manse” and thought the local historical society might be interested in the picture.’ PH82.
