Description
The ‘new’ Church, replacing the old medieval one, opened in 1854 but was struck by lightning in 1875 causing a pinnacle to come crashing down onto the graves below. The pinnacle now sits by the church wall and the inscription reads: “This pinnacle was struck down by lightening from the south west corner of this tower on April 5th A.D. 1875”
